I am a huge fan of the celebrity stylist Law Roach and his muse actress Zendaya Coleman @zendaya

I’ve watched as she grew from the Disney teen into the world wide megastar she is now.

In Law’s book we not only get a peek behind the curtain on how this was achieved, but we get lesson on how to be our very on fashion icon.

LESSON # 1

FIND YOUR PERSONAL CHEERLEADER

In a world full of negativity it’s important that you put your hater blockers on and stick close to the people you will allow you to stand tall.

Law describes Zendaya as his little sister and they both have protected each other as they rose to the top of a crazy industry. Obviously, looking out for each other has paid off.

LESSON # 2

REMIND YOURSELF THAT YOU ARE BADDY

When life gets you down, write down everything you’ve done that makes you feel pride. Then, wear an outfit that makes you feel like a baddy.

LESSON # 3

CREATE A BLUEPRINT

Opportunity comes when preparation meet opportunity. Write what you want and all the mini steps you need to take to get there. Manifest!

DON’T BE AFRAID TO BE UNIQUE

There’s no one else on earth quite like you and that’s beautiful. Flaunt and be proud of what makes you different.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock somewhere, you’ve probably heard of the singer/box office darling/fashion icon Zendaya. However, some may have not heard of the Scotty Pippen to her Micheal Jordan, her Image Architect/Stylist and longtime friend Law Roach.

If you haven’t, check out his page— he’s magical!

As a fan, I rushed to pick up “How to Build a Fashion Icon” without really knowing what it was about. I was just so excited when it came in the mail. 🙂 💌📫

However, I was even more pleasantly surprised that it was exactly what I needed in a moment when I was feeling pretty low. I believe very much in the power of hard work and grinding to fulfill a dream, but without taking into account your physical & mental wellbeing things will start to unravel.

I’ve been having some health issues as of late and most of them came about simply from running myself into the ground.

In this book, one of the many things he points out is that confidence comes from within. So, how can you be confident if you’re burning yourself out, right?

This book is a timely reminder that self-care is the foundation of a powerful personal style.

“How to Build a Fashion Icon” is a must-read for anyone seeking to elevate their mood and fashion sense.
